Canada Limo runs the Toronto-Ottawa corridor as a private chauffeured route, door-to-door from any Toronto address along Highway 401 East and Highway 416 North — approximately 450 km. Parliament Hill, ByWard Market, downtown Ottawa hotels, The Glebe, Rockcliffe Park, or Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport (YOW) for connecting flights. Fixed flat rate from $795 one-way. No surge pricing, no airport security, no schedule pressure. Long-distance Ontario travel covered under our long-distance authority. Flat rates · Licensed · 24/7 Canada-wide.
📞 1-855-370-3001Toronto to Ottawa is approximately 450 kilometres (about 280 miles) via Highway 401 East and Highway 416 North. The nonstop drive takes approximately 4 to 4.75 hours depending on Toronto traffic, passing Oshawa, Port Hope, Cobourg, Trenton, Belleville, Napanee, and Kingston before turning north at the Highway 416 junction for the final run into Ottawa. Canada Limo’s fixed flat rate for this route starts at $795 for a Sedan and includes professional chauffeur, fuel, tolls, and full commercial insurance.
For Toronto executives with meetings on Parliament Hill, families heading to ByWard Market or the Rideau Canal — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — for a weekend, or wedding parties traveling to the capital, the private long-distance limo handles the ~450 km door-to-door. Ottawa welcomes about 9.8 million visitors a year, spending roughly 2.6 billion dollars (per Ottawa Tourism) — and where VIA Rail’s roughly 4.5-hour run is station-to-station, our chauffeured drive is door-to-door.
Three ways to get from Toronto to Ottawa. The right choice depends on your priorities: total door-to-door time, group size, luggage, comfort, schedule flexibility, and cost. Here is the honest comparison.

Highway 401 East and Highway 416 North aren’t just lines on a map – together they form the spine of a ~450 km corridor with real landmarks along the way. Here is what our chauffeurs pass, in order, on every Toronto–Ottawa run.
Every trip starts at your Toronto address — hotel driveway, condo lobby, corporate office, or Toronto Pearson (YYZ) / Billy Bishop (YTZ). We merge onto Highway 401 East via Don Valley Parkway or Highway 400 depending on where you are in the GTA.
About 1 hour 15 minutes east of Toronto. Known for the quirky Primitive Designs metal-robot sculptures visible from the 401. Nice quick coffee stop if requested — otherwise our chauffeurs push through.
The Prince Edward County wine region sits south of the 401 here — Sandbanks Provincial Park, boutique vineyards, beaches. Not on the direct route, but a common request for weekend passengers combining Ottawa with a PEC stay.
Kingston — the limestone city — sits at roughly the 60% mark of Toronto–Ottawa. Historic limestone architecture, Queen’s University, Fort Henry. Our chauffeurs know exactly which Kingston exits work for a comfortable 15-minute stretch break — pass through as a rest stop, or extend into a proper stop if you ask.
Just past Kingston, the 1000 Islands Parkway peels off from the 401 — a slower, scenic riverside road along the St. Lawrence with 1000 Islands cruises departing from Gananoque. Adds 30–50 minutes if requested, and rejoins the 401 at Brockville — before the Highway 416 turn-off.
Canada’s oldest railway tunnel, lit up in colour and free to walk through if you’re stopping. Downtown Brockville is a pleasant break town, especially on slower scenic runs.
Here the run leaves Highway 401 East and turns north onto Highway 416 toward Ottawa. Highway 416 has no service plazas, so our chauffeurs make any final fuel or coffee stop at an ONroute plaza on the 401 before this junction.
Highway 416 runs north through Kemptville into the capital region — a quieter final stretch after the 401, with no service plazas between the junction and Ottawa. Signs start counting down to the capital.
Highway 416 delivers you into Ottawa’s south end. Your chauffeur routes from here to your exact destination — downtown, Centretown, ByWard Market, The Glebe, Westboro, Nepean, Orléans, or Stittsville.
Parliament Hill, ByWard Market, the Rideau Canal — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — downtown hotels and offices, The Glebe, Rockcliffe Park, or Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport (YOW) for a departing flight — door-to-door, roughly 4 to 4.75 hours of highway time plus any requested stops.
The 401 has purpose-built ONroute service plazas spaced roughly every 80 km. Every plaza has washrooms, coffee, hot food, and 24/7 fuel. Here are the ones our chauffeurs typically use between Toronto and Ottawa, in order — Highway 416 has no service plazas, so every break happens on the 401.
Each profile uses the route differently. The vehicle, the timing, and the chauffeur briefing change with the use case. Match yours to dial in the right service tier.
Toronto-based C-suite executives with one-day Ottawa meetings. 6:00 AM departure, executive seating, Wi-Fi for prep, arrival downtown before 11:00. Return same evening at 6 PM. Productivity en route, no airport security.
Parents, kids, grandparents, one SUV or Sprinter Van handles the whole party with luggage and stroller. Child seats on request (additional fee). Driver knows the rest stops, the kid-friendly ONroute amenities, and the downtown Ottawa hotel valets.
Bridal party, family, and guests transported from Toronto hotels to Ottawa venues — downtown hotels, ByWard Market restaurants, and venues along the Rideau Canal. Multi-vehicle dispatch coordinated under one booking number.
4–14 person teams heading to Ottawa for government meetings, quarterly reviews, customer visits. Sprinter Van seats the whole team with executive comfort and a working arrangement. Net-30 invoicing standard for corporate accounts.
International visitors landing at Pearson YYZ Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 with an Ottawa hotel reservation. Direct YYZ-to-Ottawa pickup at the same flat rate. Meet-and-greet at arrivals, full luggage capacity, no transfer wait.
Chauffeur stays in Ottawa for 1–7 days with the vehicle on standby. Used for executive offsites, multi-meeting business trips, family vacations, and milestone celebrations. Daily rate during stay; flat rate for the round-trip drive.
No surprise charges, no upsell traps. The price quoted at booking is the price on your invoice, every Toronto-Ottawa trip ships with the same standard service package.
Ontario Class G licensed, defensive driving certified, formal attire, 401- and 416-corridor experienced. Familiar with the Port Hope, Trenton, Odessa, and Mallorytown ONroute stops, plus downtown Ottawa hotel valet protocols.
No fuel surcharge. No mileage fee. No fluctuation by gas price. The flat rate covers every kilometre of the ~450 km route plus any mileage between requested stops.
Full Ontario commercial passenger insurance, not Uber’s third-party gap coverage. CVOR #213-535-524 active and current for long-distance travel across Ontario.
Live human dispatch every hour, no chatbots, no IVR maze. Call 1-855-370-3001 for changes, ETAs, route adjustments, or emergencies. Dispatcher can reroute the chauffeur in real time.
Chilled bottled water in every vehicle. Across 450 km of Highway 401 and Highway 416 driving in summer heat or winter dry-air, this matters more than a pleasantry, guests appreciate it through every leg of the trip.
USB and USB-C ports in every seat. Onboard Wi-Fi in SUVs, Sprinter Vans, and Party Buses for guests who need to work the full four-plus hours en route or join Zoom calls without dropping signal.
Flat-rate quotes locked at booking. No surge pricing during peak hours, holidays, or weather events. Your quoted price is final.

Just landed at a Toronto airport with an Ottawa hotel reservation? We pick up directly from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) for the corridor drive to Ottawa.
Pearson is the most common pickup point for the Toronto to Ottawa corridor. International arrivals at Terminal 1 meet the chauffeur at Door A, Pre-Arrange Limo Desk. Domestic arrivals at Terminal 3 meet at Door A, Post #7, Pre-Arrange Limo Desk.
Give the limo desk officer your booking name. The officer calls your driver, and the driver arrives from short-term parking in approximately five minutes. We track your flight in real time and adjust pickup time automatically for early or delayed arrivals.
For a comprehensive Pearson airport guide, see our airport transfer service page or the dedicated Pearson airport limo service page.
Billy Bishop YTZ serves Porter Airlines and a smaller set of regional flights. The standard pickup uses the tunnel walk to the mainland front door. For paid Meet & Greet service, the chauffeur waits at the ferry-to-island sign with your booking name.
Executive travellers often combine YTZ pickup with a quick downtown Toronto stop (office or hotel) before the long-haul departure. Our dispatch coordinates this automatically with the Toronto to Ottawa corridor schedule.
See our dedicated Billy Bishop airport limo service page for terminal details, Porter coordination, and standard versus Meet & Greet pricing.

The main Highway 401 East → Highway 416 route has zero tolls. The only optional toll road is the 407 ETR bypass in the Greater Toronto Area, which your chauffeur may use only if traffic requires it. It is passed through on your invoice at cost and only used with your consent – never added quietly.
Standard policy is one 10–15 minute stretch stop at an ONroute plaza – typically Odessa or Mallorytown (~2.5 to 3 hours from Toronto). Highway 416 has no service plazas, so the last break before Ottawa happens on the 401. If you want additional stops – coffee, meal, pet break, kids, or sightseeing at Port Hope, Brockville Railway Tunnel, or the 1000 Islands – just tell your chauffeur at booking or on the road. Extra stops are always accommodated and there is no meter penalty on the flat door-to-door rate.
VIA Rail Toronto–Ottawa runs about 4.5 hours station-to-station on a fixed schedule along the same corridor. Private chauffeur is door-to-door on your own schedule with no station transfer.
Once you add commute time to Union Station and the taxi from the Ottawa rail station to your final destination, overall time is typically comparable. Chauffeur wins on privacy, luggage capacity, family / group travel, and door-to-door corporate arrivals. Rail wins on price for a single solo passenger who does not need door service.
Our 24/7 dispatch monitors Environment Canada and Ontario 511 highway conditions in real time — you can check the same corridor yourself on our live Highway 401 conditions board and Ottawa traffic board. If the 401 or 416 has active winter closures or dangerous conditions, we contact you before pickup with either a delayed departure, a routing change, or safe-harbour options in Kingston if the storm hits mid-drive.
Every fleet vehicle runs winter tires from November through April and carries emergency winter kits. We do not push through unsafe conditions to hit an ETA – your safety comes ahead of the schedule.
